Rob comes to us most recently from The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where he was the General Manager/COO from 2013 until 2020. The Plantation is a 650- acre private equity seaside community with 579 single-family homes providing its 1,200 members with a championship golf course, short-game and practice facilities, beach clubhouse, tennis center with seven courts and four pickleball courts, a full-service clubhouse with fitness center, and multiple dining options. Over the past seven years, Rob has accomplished much at The Plantation, having led them through four major construction projects, introduced new successful family-oriented club events and programming, updated and enhanced membership communications, increased membership usage of the Club, and revised and implemented their strategic plan. From a Staff management perspective, Rob installed new performance management tools and built a cohesive management team while enhancing the workplace culture.
Prior to moving to Florida, Rob served as the General Manager/COO of The Apawamis Club in Rye, New York from 2002 – 2013. Among his accomplishments, Rob grew the membership of this very well-regarded Platinum Club of America in Westchester County, and led them through a strategic plan that resulted in significant capital project work over the years. As a result, Apawamis is considered one of the finest family country clubs in its market.
Earlier in his career, Rob served as General Manager of Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Delaware and held senior management positions at The Kiawah Island Club in South Carolina and Baltimore Country Club.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and has attained several certifications in the club industry including his CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive) and CAM license from Florida, a requirement for managing community associations.
