Chef Alexander Williamson grew up on the south shore of Long Island. At a young age heading out to the Hamptons he spent his Saturdays with his parents at farm stands, checking out local farms, and seafood markets. He worked throughout his high school career at a butcherís shop, a seafood stand, and various restaurants located in Long Island. Taking the various skills he learned at a young age, in addition to his love and passion for food, he enrolled in the culinary arts program at Johnson and Wales University. After graduation Chef Alexander returned to Long Island to start his career at Nick and Toniís. He gradually started to venture out to work at some of the greatest restaurants such as Gramercy Tavern, Aureole, Great Bay, Compass, The Lion and Tao. Chef Alexander was recognized as a very skilled chef and helped open restaurants like Morimoto, Kittichai and Veritas. In March of 2019, now married with children, Chef Alexander and his wife made a joint decision to find a better quality of life. After researching and visiting various areas, they made their decision to move to Maine, which they love.
